| 22.07.2023, 9PM Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare Rafensteiner Weg 19, Bolzano, Italy IT La Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare ospiterà durante il festival Bolzano Danza la performance The Third Body. Il dialogo tra il danzatore e coreografo beninese Koffi Kôkô, il compositore e musicista tedesco Manos Tsangaris e lo scrittore Johannes Odenthal è iniziato a Berlino nel 2018 con l’idea di ripensare insieme il rapporto corpo e suono, movimento, musica e testo. Per Kôkô la danza non è soltanto una pratica fisica, è una fonte di energia interiore in linea con le culture animiste dell’Africa occidentale da cui proviene e di cui è rappresentante essendo lui stesso Dah, “maestro spirituale”. Dal canto suo Tsangaris parla di antropologia scenica, con il corpo al centro del suo lavoro di percussionista ma anche dello spettatore su cui attiva nuove possibilità sensoriali. Suono e disposizione spaziale creano un terzo spazio possibile, da qui il titolo della performance The Third Body (Il Terzo Corpo): una sorta di rito di passaggio, un rito contemporaneo tra corpo e suono, tra il dentro e il fuori, dove danza, testo, ritmo, meditazione creano comunità. Segue la presentazione del libro Passage. Koffi Kôkô tra danza contemporanea e filosofia del Vodoun e un incontro con gli artisti moderato da Marie Glassl. Visita guidata alla mostra David Lamelas. | EN Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation will host during the festival Bolzano Danza/Tanz Bozen the performance The Third Body. The dialogue between the dancer and choreographer Koffi Kôkô from Benin, the German musician and composer Manos Tsangaris and the writer Johannes Odenthal began in Berlin in 2018 with the idea of rethinking the relationship between body and sound, movement, music and text. For Kôkô, dance is not only physical exercise, it is rather a source of inner strength true to the animistic cultures of West Africa, of which he is a representative as Dah, a “spiritual master”. Tsangaris, for his part, speaks of scenic anthropology, where the body is not only at the centre of his work as a percussionist, but also provides new sensory experience for the audience. Sound and spatial arrangement create a third possible space, hence the title of the performance The Third Body: a kind of rite of initiation, a contemporary rite between body and sound, between inside and outside, in which a sense of we grows out of dance, text, rhythm and meditation.
